I particularly enjoy initiating and organizing new events.

My ultimate goal is the Math Night-Train Conference: a two-week conference on a special night train crossing Europe. This would be a €1 million initiative to change what a scientific conference can be—forever! For the moment, I organize a bit smaller events, but still hopefully impactful 😊

Ukrainian Mathematics Days (Institut Henri Poincaré 2026)

I was delighted to co-organize Ukrainian Mathematics Days 2026 with five colleagues. It was a two-day conference and the first conference of Ukrainian mathematics in France, following the smaller Ukrainian Math Day held in Évry in 2025. The organizing committee included:

The conference offered an opportunity to exchange ideas and build collaborations across the Ukrainian mathematical community in Europe. It brought together early-career researchers and senior mathematicians, with a particular focus on mentoring younger Ukrainian students based in Europe, particularly in the Paris Region.

The first edition took place on 4–5 June 2026 at the Institut Henri Poincaré in Paris, in the Amphithéâtre Yvonne Choquet-Bruhat. Its broad programme reflected the range of Ukrainian mathematical research, with a particular focus on PDEs, SDEs, operator algebras, and machine learning.

The organizers intended the conference to launch a biennial series in which Ukrainian and Western European mathematicians could present collaborative work and strengthen the integration of the Ukrainian mathematical community into the European research landscape. Discussions about hosting a 2027 edition in Marseille are underway.

Ukrainian Math Day in Evry Paris-Saclay (February 2025)

“Ukrainian Math Day in Évry Paris-Saclay” was hosted at the University of Évry Paris-Saclay. It aimed to promote knowledge exchange and support the Ukrainian mathematical community, which had been dispersed across Europe and beyond by the ongoing war. Ukrainian PhD students based in Paris were invited to present their research and share their experiences.

ImpAct IA for Master’s Students (Orsay, February 2025 and 2026)

Cette journée a été conçue comme un espace d’échange « au-delà des mathématiques » sur les conséquences écologiques, économiques, éthiques ou juridiques de l’utilisation des modèles d’IA.

Co-financée par la FMJH et DATAIA, la journée ImpAct s’adressait en priorité aux étudiants de master de Paris-Saclay, notamment en mathématiques, science des données et intelligence artificielle. Un public plus large était bienvenu dans la limite des places disponibles. L’événement a été organisé en collaboration avec Gilles Blanchard (LMO, Paris-Saclay).

Change-Point Paris-Saclay conference (ENS Paris-Saclay, January 2023)

Co-organized with Charles Truong.

The Paris-Saclay Change-Point workshop was a two-day meeting, held on 16–17 January 2023, dedicated to theoretical and applied methods for change-point detection. Its main goal was to encourage new interactions in the European change-point research community. The workshop was free of charge and open to anyone interested in contributing to the field, including Master’s and PhD students, early-career researchers, and senior researchers.
